On the 9^th of January, 2019, the London Air Ambulance Service marked its 30^th anniversary of operation with both staff members and stakeholders alike, all of whom were delighted and eager to sing praises about the great millstone the charity air ambulance has accomplished from inception till date. 

According to the medical director, Dr Gareth Davies, London Air Ambulance service is a global leader in the emergency response service industry. The Air ambulance which has been in operation since 1989 is estimated to have saved nearly 4000 lives since it commenced operations.

The air ambulance currently operates two helicopter Emergency Medical Services dedicated to responding to severe trauma cases in and around London. It performs specialist medical intervention at scenes of life-threatening and time-critical situations using a helicopter service by day and rapid response vehicles at night.
