Requirements – Doctors:

Medical Doctorate degree (unrestricted license to practice unsupervised medicine in home country or country of graduation)

Any of the following:

• Diploma or certificate course in Emergency medicine and /or ECR (Emergency Crash & Rescue) Training which is a combination of Aviation Safety+Firefighting+Medical Emergencies.
• BLS, BTLS, ATLS, ACLS or similar equivalent valid certification.
• Certificate course in Environmental Safety & Health will be an advantage.
• Fluency in English and French language.

Experience- Minimum of 5 years experience.

Requirements – EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or Paramedic/Nurse:

Diploma & license to practice.

• Pre-hospital Management Certificate (3-4 months course in emergency medicine, trauma, fire-fighting and 8 hours of basic fire-safety management)
• Other courses in emergency medicine and/or BLS.
• Fluency in English and French language.
• Experience- Minimum of 5 years experience.

Job Description:

• Respond to any airport and aircraft emergencies to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured. Providing pre-hospital medical emergency care of simple and multiple trauma cases.
• Primary assessment & stabilization of life-threatening conditions.
• Emergency and Non-emergency coverage at the airport, the clinic and as required and assigned.
• Standby to cover medical services related tasks as maybe directed.
• Prepare case reports, medical reports during emergency, as weekly or monthly reports and as tasked and required.
• Do medical and administrative tasks as required and tasked.
• Any other task as required by the medical section.
